10.000 kilometers, 2 girls, 5 dogs = one unforgettable Adventure 🇫🇮

When you fly somewhere, the destination is the goal. On roadtrips, the trip to and from is already part of the destination. Some may consider driving 35 hours one way to be a hassle, but when you're with the right people, these 2.5 weeks will be filled with endless laughs, cozy van nights, singing off-key to your favourite songs, quoting tiktok sounds and eating waaaay too many sweets.

And that's how we spent the whole time there too - adding another friend, three more dogs and lots of winter adventures, breathtaking polar lights, stratospheric clouds, cute reindeer, about 838493872 pictures and the time of our lives.

From the magical moments in Santa Claus Village to chasing the mesmerizing Northern Lights, every stop was filled with unforgettable memories.🎅🏼🌨️✨♥️

Here is our route from up north

🩵 Rovaniemi: Kicking off our journey at Santa Claus Village, reuniting with our finish friend and getting to taste delicious finish specialities like Laskiaispulla.

🩵 Posio: Exploring the snowy wonders of Riisitunturi National Park, where the forest felt like a winter fairy tale.

🩵 Ivalo/Inari: Witnessing the most incredible Northern Lights - an experience that left us in awe.

🩵 Levi: Conquering snowy hikes, our feet and paws sinking into the winter wonderland.

🩵 Tontulla: Getting lost in the enchantment of the Elves' Village while sipping hot chocolate.

🩵 Ylläs: Hiking through the breathtaking National Park, surrounded by nature's beauty.

🩵 Rovaniemi: back to our starting point to go for a magical horse ride in winter wonderland, enjoying the last days with our dear finnish friend and refueling with the best subway sandwiches we've ever had.

And we also made some stops along the way

💛 Fredericia: long walkie with our good friend and fellow pompassadors, @teamluckyfins

💛 Stockholm: exploring the city center, eating delicious churros and pancakes

💛 Örnsköldsvik: another lovely walk around a lake with another pompassador team, @sheltielykka

💛 Malmö: strolling through the city and having some much needed coffee

💛 Kopenhagen: exploring the city in warm, Springlike weather

It's super lovely to have your home on wheels wherever you go - no matter what city we stayed in, or when we were chasing the aurora, finding a place to stay was never an issue. And seriously, what could be more cozy than snuggling up with your dogs after a long day of hiking through the snowy landscape? And of course, you can always bring as many dogs you want (or can fit in a van haha) - which is very important when you have as many as us…🤪

The dogs are used to traveling long distances and love their car crates. None of them had an issue and the long distances were actually a nice way for them to relax and sleep between exciting, adventure filled days.

Already looking forward to next time! Also, check out my best tips for traveling with your dog 👇
