KuoriPomppa is an extremely lightweight and breathable 3-layer dog shell jacket. This means the outer fabric, waterproof membrane and inner lining are tightly laminated together into a single fabric. This technical structure ensures maximum waterproofness, breathability and lightness. Use it as a raincoat on its own or add a midlayer underneath, such as JumppaPomppa.

100% of KuoriPomppa’s materials are recycled. Using recycled materials reduces the need for new raw materials and helps conserve natural resources. The coat's durability and waterproofness are fully comparable to virgin materials.
2. PFC-free
The water-repellent surface (DWR = Durable Water Repellency) is created with a special fabric treatment. PFC-free means that this treatment does not contain fluorinated chemicals that are harmful to the environment.

Taped seams
The most critical seams are finished with waterproof seam tape, preventing water from leaking through the seams even in heavy rain. The taped seams further enhance the coat’s waterproof protection.
Stretch panels
The soft stretch panels at the front keep the chest area snug against the dog without uncomfortable rubbing. The stretch panels improve the fit especially for dogs with a narrow chest
Leg straps
The flexible leg straps help keep the coat securely in place in windy weather. The straps are fully removable and can be adjusted for the perfect fit.

How waterproof is this coat?
KuoriPomppa has a waterproof rating of 10 000 mm. This means that the waterproof membrane inside the fabric can withstand a water column at least ten meters high before water penetrates the material. A rating this high is considered fully waterproof and can handle even heavy rain. The coat’s most critical seams are also taped, further enhancing waterproof performance.
In addition, the fabric surface has an eco-friendly water-repellent treatment that causes water droplets to bead on the surface and roll off.
Does the coat provide any warmth?
No, the coat is completely unlined and made from an exceptionally lightweight fabric. It provides excellent protection against rain and wind but does not have insulating properties. KuoriPomppa is therefore ideal as a year-round shell coat for thick-coated dogs or as a lightweight raincoat for more cold-sensitive dogs in milder weather.
