Each year, we set concrete responsibility goals and work diligently toward them throughout the season. This page highlights our key achievements from the past year, outlines our future goals, and reflects on the challenges we've faced along the way.
- 92% of our waterproof jackets were manufactured using PFC-free water-repellent treatment. Starting in autumn 2025, this figure will reach 100%.
- 50% of the season’s collection was made from recycled materials.
- 100% of the polyester used in JumppaPomppa products (excluding elastane) was recycled.
- By increasing the use of recycled polyester, we’ve significantly reduced the emissions from textile fibres.
- 131 used Pomppa jackets found new homes through our RePomppa recycling service, extending their life cycles and reducing textile waste.

- We began systematically mapping the social responsibility conditions across all our partner factories. By the end of 2024, we had achieved a comprehensive overview of our factory network. This ongoing work will continue into 2025. Our goal is to ensure that all partner factories are covered by the amfori BSCI audit by the end of 2025. Read more on the Well-being page.

The PET bottles used in Pomppa products are manufactured from GRS-certified sources.
Challenges we face
Achieving our responsibility goals doesn’t come without its share of challenges. Along the way, we’ve encountered situations that have required us to learn, adapt, and at times, make compromises. Sharing these challenges openly is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and responsible growth.
Expanding our circular economy service
Our goal to expand the RePomppa recycling service with a new product condition category was not achieved in 2024 due to limited time and resources. However, development continues, and we remain committed to launching this update in the future. The new category will allow even slightly more worn Pomppas to find new homes through the service.
Availability of recycled materials
We were unable to source suitable recycled materials for SporttiPomppa due to availability issues. The good news: by autumn 2025, the product will consist of 90% recycled fibres. Meanwhile, JumppaPomppa was successfully updated to use 100% recycled polyester. The next exciting challenge is to find a recycled, flexible elastomer fibre that can withstand active use year after year.
Environmentally friendly freight
Ongoing global uncertainties continued to affect delivery schedules and logistics in 2024. To avoid delays for our customers, we occasionally had to resort to higher-emission air freight in place of sea freight. While not ideal, these decisions were necessary to maintain service quality, and they highlight the importance of building more resilient logistics in the future.
Complexities of direct shipping
To reduce emissions and improve efficiency, we've been working to implement direct shipments from our factories to international distributors. However, customs regulations and trade restrictions in different countries have made this transition more complex than anticipated. We’re continuing to explore solutions to overcome these hurdles.
