Achievements and goals

For us, responsibility isn’t a one-time action – it’s an ongoing journey of learning, growth, and meaningful effort, both big and small. Each year, we set concrete responsibility goals and work diligently toward them throughout the season. This page highlights our key achievements from the past year, outlines our future goals, and reflects on the challenges we've faced along the way.

Our Achievements in 2024

Product Development

  • The share of recycled polyester increased to 70%, while the share of virgin polyester dropped below 5%.
  • The season collection contained no added PFCs.
  • All season JumppaPomppas were made using 100% recycled materials (excluding elastane).
  • We launched a partnership that reuses leftover fabrics from JumppaPomppa production via a third-party partner, helping us reduce material waste.

Warehouse & Logistics

  • Producing only what is needed is an important part of sustainability. In 2025, we improved our planning to better match demand and reduce overproduction.
  • We chose a new logistics partner that shares our sustainability values. They have a certified environmental management system and are always looking for ways to reduce their environmental impact.
  • We further increased the use of recycled packaging materials in our deliveries.

Responsible Manufacturing

  • In 2025, we visited our partner factories to carry out our own sustainability assessments and factory audits to better understand and improve our supply chain.
  • From 2026 onwards, we will only continue working with suppliers that hold a valid amfori BSCI audit. Read more on the Well-being page.
  • We launched another European production for one of our latest product innovation, which will be introduced in Autumn 2026.

Challenges We Faced

Achieving our responsibility goals doesn’t come without its share of challenges. Along the way, we’ve encountered situations that have required us to learn, adapt, and at times, make compromises. Sharing these challenges openly is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and responsible growth.

Further Development of Our Circular Service

Further developing the RePomppa second-hand service has long been one of our goals in extending the lifespan of our products. During 2025, we evaluated several opportunities and alternative service models, but concluded that the current concept continues to serve our customers in the most effective way. For this reason, we are not pursuing additional service formats for now.

The primary purpose of RePomppa is to extend the lifespan of our products. For this reason, we want to emphasise that proper product care remains one of the most important factors in maximising product longevity. We will therefore continue investing in product care education and guidance in the years ahead.

Lower-Impact Transport Solutions

During 2025, we tested train freight as an alternative for transporting goods from our factories to our warehouse in an effort to reduce transport-related emissions. Based on our experience, the solution did not currently meet our requirements for delivery reliability, and we have therefore decided not to continue using train freight for the time being.

We will continue developing our logistics solutions and actively monitor lower-emission transport alternatives as they become available. At present, we prioritise sea freight whenever possible and only rely on air freight as a last resort, for example in the event of production delays beyond our control or disruptions caused by global events.

Our Goals

Our Goals for 2026

We’ve set ambitious goals for upcoming years to continue moving toward a more sustainable and responsible future – for dogs, people, and the planet. Each small step brings us closer to lasting, positive impact.

01

A More Transparent Supply Chain

  • We will expand our sustainability assessments and factory audits to cover accessory suppliers, such as sewing thread suppliers.
  • The successful reuse of JumppaPomppa fabric offcuts through a third-party partner encourages us to find similar recycling solutions for other materials we use. This will help us reduce production waste even further.
  • We will continue improving production planning and maintain realistic production schedules that support responsible manufacturing and the well-being of workers throughout our supply chain.
02

Making Product Information More Accessible

  • We will publish a comprehensive Product Care Guide together with instructional videos to help customers care for, repair, and extend the lifespan of their Pomppa products.
  • We will add sustainability and certification information to every product page while also strengthening sustainability communication for our B2B customers.
03

More Sustainable Deliveries

  • Our goal is to introduce carbon-neutral deliveries for all online store orders during 2026.
  • We will continue developing our packaging solutions and logistics to comply with the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). While we are already well prepared, we will continue improving our practices to ensure full compliance.
